Counselor's Corner

Our school counseling program plays an important role in the development of all students here at KSTM.  Students greatly benefit from help in many areas:  Our school counselors help with academic concerns, personal and social issues, career choices, attendance difficulties, home visits, connecting with community resources, and referrals.  We strive to do whatever it takes to help each and every one of our students succeed and develop their fullest potential.

Along with individual and response counseling we each have curricular areas on which we focus:  Ms. Thompson - Academic/Personal/Social Domain and Mrs. Clark - Academic/College/Career Domain.  We deliver lessons in each of these areas to all KSTM students throughout the school year.

In the Omaha Public Schools (OPS) District our counseling program follows the American School Counselors Association (ASCA) national model.  OPS leads the nation in sustaining a district-wide, comprehensive, competency-based, school counseling program.  We are constantly looking to improve the educational experience of our students.  Please contact us if we can help you in any way.  We look forward to working with you and your student(s) here at our school of excellence!
