Computer Applications Level I

Students new to King Science and Technology Magnet are traditionally assigned to this class.  New fifth grade students take this semester class. Keyboarding skills are introduced and students by the end of the semester are expected to key 30 words per minute with no errors.  In addition to keying, students learn Microsoft Office,Inspiration, internet safety and i-life.

Computer Applications Level II

 Students in sixth grade at King Science and Technology Magnet are traditionally assigned to this class.   This semester class reinforces keyboarding skills. Students by the end of the semester are expected to key 45 words per minute with no errors.  In addition to keying, students learn Microsoft Office, Inspiration, internet safety and i-life.  Multimedia presentations allow students to enter contests and show their work to the community. 

Computer Applications Level III

Students in seventh grade at King Science and Technology Magnet are traditionally assigned to this class.   This semester class reinforces keyboarding skills. Students by the end of the semester are expected to key 60 words per minute with no errors.  In addition to keying, students learn Microsoft Office, Inspiration, internet safety and i-life.  Multimedia presentations allow students to enter contests and show their work to the community. Students are engaged in hands on projects that allow open end solutions to class assignments.  Creativity is fostered and encouraged.

Computer Applications Level IV

Students in eighth grade at King Science and Technology Magnet are traditionally assigned to this class.   This semester class reinforces keyboarding skills. Students by the end of the semester are expected to key over 60 words per minute with no errors.  In addition to keying, students learn Microsoft Office, Inspiration, internet safety and i-life.  Multimedia presentations allow students to enter contests and show their work to the community. Students are engaged in hands on projects that allow open end solutions to class assignments.  Creativity is fostered and encouraged.
