Computer Applications Level I
Students new to King Science and Technology Magnet are traditionally assigned to this class. New fifth grade students take this semester class. Keyboarding skills are introduced and students by the end of the semester are expected to key 30 words per minute with no errors. In addition to keying, students learn Microsoft Office, internet safety, animations and presentations. ACP students are also given their own section of this class to practice life skills in computer education.
Computer Applications Level II
Students in sixth grade at King Science and Technology Magnet are traditionally assigned to this class. This semester class reinforces keyboarding skills. Students by the end of the semester are expected to key 45 words per minute with no errors. In addition to keying, students learn Microsoft Office, internet safety, animations and presentations . Multimedia presentations allow students to enter contests and show their work to the community.
